Fei Ma

Fei Ma is the Managing Partner of GWLaw. She is qualified both as a Chinese attorney and patent agent. She advises clients on patent litigation and filing, IP consulting services (including offensive and defensive strategies, technology mapping and portfolio management) and specializes in Freedom to Operate (FTO) searches, IP analysis of competitors and existing technology.

In 2022, Fei was appointed an “Expert of National Overseas IP Dispute Response & Guidance” by the China Intellectual Property Society and an “Expert of Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response & Guidance in Zhejiang” by the Zhejiang Intellectual Property Protection Center.

Fei obtained her Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) of the Max Planck Institute and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing from the Paderborn University of Germany. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the China Agricultural University.

Her working languages are Mandarin, English and German.

Xiaohua Dong is a partner in GWLaw. She is a Chinese attorney specializing in civil and commercial litigation, as well as non-litigious commercial matters.

Xiaohua has been qualified as an attorney since 2011. Her professional legal services on litigation and non-litigation matters are highly regarded by repeat clients, which include the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and the Pacific Insurance Company. Her practice areas include company law, labour litigation, marital and family law and criminal litigation.

Xiaohua graduated from Law School of Naikai University China.

Qiuzhen Yin

Qiuzhen Yin is a partner in GWLaw. She is a Chinese attorney who focuses her practice on civil and commercial dispute resolution and corporate governance.

Qiuzhen began her legal career in 2015 and since then has represented clients in hundreds of civil cases. Her experience includes advising on “New Third Board” projects and providing services for a large financial leasing company. Combining broad legal knowledge with extensive hands-on experience, Qiuzhen has consistently received recognition and praise from clients over the course of her career.

Qiuzhen obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in civil and commercial law from the East China University of Political Science and Law.

Her working languages are Mandarin and English.

Cong Wang is a partner in GWLaw. She is a lawyer and patent agent who focuses her practice principally on patent prosecution and IP consulting.

Working closely with domestic and multinational organizations alike, Cong helps clients develop sophisticated intellectual property strategies built around their unique objectives. Clients routinely count on her to deliver detailed patent validity opinions, conduct freedom-to-operate searches and help them respond decisively to complex invalidation challenges.

Cong has an advanced technical background, including a Master’s Degree in Aircraft Design and Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology.

Angel XIA

Angel has over 15 years of rich work experience in the field of IP, being familiar with the application and registration of various types of IP rights such as patents, designs, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as related administrative litigation and infringement litigation. She is specialized in providing clients with various types of IP rights enforcement strategies and advice, and handles various types of IP infringement litigation procedures, including notarized purchases, evidence collection, filing lawsuits, appeals, and retrial proceedings.

Angel has participated in multiple IP rights enforcement projects for internationally renowned brands and multinational corporations. A patent infringement lawsuit that she led was listed as a guiding case by the Supreme People’s Court.
